Charles, Your poem is quite interesting and even if you had not written what your 'definition' poem was about, I'd still be able to understand what your poem is about because of the great detail you wrote about the two 'sides' of a tree. If I did have one suggestion, it would be that maybe you could just add your own style and personal touch to the poem and the way you worded it, as of right now it sounds like the definition poem about a pencil we read in class.
