Descriptive Poem - The Reckless Boy

As he sits on the side of the frail decrepit bench,
He gives out a reticent sigh as his shoulders start to tense.
His eyes stare bare over the jeering clouds,
Over the rooftops as his mind starts to calm down.
Grabbing the side of his stomach as tears start to form,
The tears rolled down as he couldn't take it anymore.
He squirmed and rolled like he was twisted from fate,
He stands up and runs to the river, like it's already too late.
Without caring, arms open and ready to plunge,
As one last tear rolled down, he gave up with a lunge.
The cold water embraced him like the hug his mother once gave,
As he sunk deeper thinking of his mother, he was really digging his own grave.

  1. I like your word choice and description. "Jeering clouds" was good personification. Just wondering, what happened to the boy?

  2. Definitely loving the world choice as Charles just mentioned. How sophisticated Lily! Keep up the awesoke work!
